AJ Christie Daze

Christie is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Spotted Greenwing, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Daze, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
A long scars mars the scales on Christie's chest, a reminder of her old adventures looking for new types of butterfly to eat.
Once she found a great house made of glass, filled with plants and butterflies. Unfortunately the owner of the house, a rich lord with many soldiers, was not impressed with Christie's presence there. He ordered his men to attack her, and as Christie took flight a pikeman caught her in the chest with his weapon.
She's stayed a bit closer to home since then. It's safer that way.

AJ Jack Bloodskele

Jack is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on a mountain slope and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Hellfire Wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Bloodskele, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
The Bloodskele pair are among the defence forces for the flock's hatcheries. Jack's tail barb is especially useful for warding off would-be dragon slayers or marauding lone dragons.

AJ Ian Arkech

Ian is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Lumina dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Arkech, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Ian is almost as much of a prankster as the Misfits. His pranks, however, revolve around the conveniently timed release of noxious gas from his body.
Playing pranks isn't the only use for his gas though. He found that he could use the gases his body produced to knock out his prey, or that he could release an especially large cloud against attackers.
After one little accident with this method, he soon learned to make sure that Gloria wasn't doing her "roaring pillar of flame" attack into the same area.

AJ Ellen Atlantis

Ellen is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found along the coast and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Nebula dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Atlantis, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
She could spend every night for the rest of eternity listening to her mate naming the stars. There are so many of them that she sometimes gets confused, but she's pretty certain she can at least name the ones that pattern Colin's wings.

AJ Card Crimson Flare

Card Crimson Flare is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Misfit Pygmy, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Card, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Card Crimson Flare is often found bathing in the best patch of heat he can find, even if this means lying on another dragon. He's unusually lazy for a Crimson Flare, and he'll only take to the air if he's forced to. When he does fly, he's one of the fastest in the flock, which makes him an ideal messenger between the far-spread groups, even being willing to carry messages between the humans of the clan.

AJ Frances Jadim

Frances is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Pillow dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the flock, both dragons took the same name, Jadim, to pass down to their offspring.
Frances is violent, murderous and staunchly carnivorous, and to enter her glade is to court death. No surprise there, given her species. What is surprising is her choice of lifemate, the Pillow dragon named Brian.
The fact is that she just can't kill him. She tried, the first time he wandered into her range, but his thick fur is so dense it protects him from her deadly vines.
The first time Brian arrived back in the glade with a territorial and angry Brute in pursuit, she was surprised. Then it happened again, and again. He's her bait, her lure, her food-finder, and they both eat well for it.

AJ Gail Rovine

Gail is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in a forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Gray dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the flock, both dragons took the same name, Rovine, to pass down to their offspring.
Gail cultivates a beautiful garden above her hiding place, in contrast to others of her breed who would just suck the nutrients out of everything in reach. There are loads of flowery, nectar-bearing plants there, which draw in loads of insects.
With those insects come other things, larger things. Prime prey like Black Tea and Striped dragons come wandering blithely into this beautiful insect-haven, blissfully unaware of the danger lurking under the cover of the lush bushes and thick banks of insect-covered flowers.

Z'AJ Balerion Night Glory

Balerion Night Glory is one of the few drakes rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Howler drake, among the other AnselaJonla drakes. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both drakes were given the same name, Balerion, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Balerion Night Glory thinks that the Day Glory drakes and Sunsong Amphipteres within the flock are silly things, and that spending so much time in the sunlight is a bad idea.

AJ Wendy Halojym

Wendy is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found near a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Golden wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Halojym, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Her tail is meant to be for warding off blows, but Wendy has found a better use for it; as a paddle to knock a ball back to another dragon or human. The youngsters all love queueing up to throw balls of various sizes and materials at Wendy to see how far she can hit them.
When necessary it also makes a very good club, as intrepid invaders or brainless bandits have discovered in the past.

AJ Gloria Bloodskele

Gloria is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Bleeding Moon dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Bloodskele, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
The Bloodskele pair defend the hatcheries from danger. Gloria's favourite method is to dive swiftly in a roaring pillar of flame, which is guaranteed to make any aspiring knight flee with newly-browned breeches.

AJ Irene Elumbra

Irene is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in a jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Dorsal dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the flock, both dragons took the same name, Elumbra, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
As a hatchling, Irene barely escaped from an immortal dark sorcerer warlord who was enslaving Horse dragons. He used his magick to bind and twist their minds to his will. Subservient and mute, they were then given to his most loyal Lieutenants as mounts. His many enemies had learned to target the dragons, however, and he was always in need of more defenceless hatchlings to replace those lost in battle.
He was defeated many decades ago, but Irene doesn't believe he's dead, and thinks he's behind the attacks on the Hellpack. A Hellhorse would be very valuable to him.

AJ Myra Felldread

Myra is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Hellfire wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Felldread, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
With her mate, Myra will attack threats before they even start their march on "her" territory. Knights who are used to fighting other knights aren't quite sure what to do with a dragon as large and powerful as their destriers, but many times more intelligent and capable of flight. Myra uses teeth and razor-sharp, metal-edged hooves in equal measure.
She won't admit it, but she's ever-so-slightly jealous of the fact that her daughter also has the ability to set her foes on fire.

AJ Eleanor Arkech

Eleanor is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Brimstone dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Arkech, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Eleanor is as vain as any of her breed. She quickly realised, however, that even though a scale wasn't to her exacting standards, the humans weren't quite as picky, and would take any scales she offered them.
Since then she has saved "flawed" scales instead of discarding them, and she gives them to the human clan to make into artwork and jewellery.

AJ Card Misfit

Card Misfit is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Crimson Flare Pygmy, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Card, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Card Misfit is a troublemaker of the highest degree. Not a day goes by without her being chased by at least one dragon or human. Her best prank ever, in her opinion, was the time she managed to fill the big tank of water that humans made indoors rain from with blue plant dye.

AJ Carolrex Ochredrake

Carolrex Ochredrake is one of the few drakes rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in an unknown location and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, another Ochredrake, among the other AnselaJonla drakes. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both drakes were given the same name, Carolrex, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Carolrex Ochredrake is often found with her mate around the human clan. Her interest, however, is solely in the fruit, which is her favourite of all foods.

AJ Carolrex Ochre

Carolrex Ochre is one of the few drakes rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in a forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, another Ochredrake, among the other AnselaJonla drakes. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both drakes were given the same name, Carolrex, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Carolrex Ochre is one of the oldest in the flock, and one of the few to breed to his own species. He is often found lazing around the food preparation area of the human clan, where he gets a ready supply of leftovers, offcuts and rotten or bruised fruit to eat.

AJ Connie Amest

Connie is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, Connie found her lifemate, a Purple dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Amest, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Connie dislikes fighting, but this doesn't mean she won't defend herself or other members of the flock and clan. She will often travel with the human clan members, and protect them from harm on their journeys. Many a thief has thought twice about robbing an AnselaJonla clan member on seeing Connie loping along behind their horse.

AJ Brian Jadim

Brian is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the mountains and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Vine dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the flock, both dragons took the same name, Jadim, to pass down to their offspring.
Brian chose his lifemate on purpose, ignoring the warnings about the nature of her species. She was just what he wanted in a mate, someone who was just as violent and murderous as the voices in his mind urged him to be. Someone who could kill for him.
Brian provokes other dragons into a chase, intruding on their territory and taunting them until they chase him mindlessly into the jungle he calls home. He bounds through the trees, making sure he stays just in sight, until he reaches a specific clearing.
By the time they realise the danger they're in, it's too late to escape; they're staying for dinner.

AJ Pedro Bindyl

Pedro is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on a mountain slope and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Whiptail dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Bindyl, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Pedro doesn't like to fight, being playful at heart, but he is often found guarding a hatchery, where his distinctive call tells the humans and dragons within that danger is approaching, giving those more inclined to fight warning that they may need to.

AJ Tony Daze

Tony is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Black Tea dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Daze, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Tony is absolutely adored as a snugglepartner by everyone... in winter. In summer absolutely no one will sleep near him, because he gives off too much heat for comfort.
The headwoman of the clan village near Tony's preferred cave doesn't like him. He's apologised a thousand times for eating her cat; he was hungry and thought it was a feral feline.

AJ Erma Latos

Erma is a kind dragon, who likes to give gifts to others. As she flies overhead, looking for a worthy recipient for her present, she holds a padded basket in her front paws. Attached to the basket is a scrap of paper, which reads "Remember that spaces are slashes" in scrawled handwriting.
Unfortunately the basket is empty, as she has already found someone deserving.

AJ Cynthia Bindyl

Cynthia is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in an unknown location and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Speckle-Throated dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Bindyl, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Like her mate, Cynthia prefers playing to fighting. If danger is spotted, however, and it's something on the ground, Cynthia will happily try and slow it down. She is especially good at making horses turn and flee with just a few nips from her sharp teeth and lashes of her tail against their legs.

AJ Robyn Cozike

Robyn is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Hellfire wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Cozike, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Robyn has one rock that's all hers. It's perfectly placed to catch the rising sun, and the only dragon or human she'll share it with is her mate. Even better, in her opinion, there's a cave under it that's the perfect size for them both to curl up in at night.
Apart from being a good sunbathing spot, the rock is also a good place for Robyn to spot approaching travellers coming over the scrublands towards the flock's territory, as well as being the perfect place to spot antelope herds from when Robyn is hungry.

AJ Robby Mightson

Robby is the son of Dustin and Charlene Might. He was raised within the AnselaJonla flock, as his parents were.
On one of his rare visits to the surface Robby met a vision of beauty, a bad-tempered angel, a surly siren, a shining star of loveliness. He promptly fell in love with the Hellhorse named Agnes Felldreaddottir, and did his best to convince her to stay with him forever.
They had a brief fling after working together to destroy a pirate ship, the fiery aerobatic dracoequine being sufficiently impressed by Robby's strength, but it didn't last.
Despite knowing that partnerships with Hellhorses tend to be temporary, Robby is still bitter that the Red-fin known as Franklyn "stole" Agnes from him. He's vowed that if Franklyn ever comes down into the depths of the ocean, he'll have a fatal "accident".

AJ Agnes Felldreaddottir

Agnes is the daughter of George and Myra Felldread. She was raised within the AnselaJonla flock, as her parents were.
It's certainly a strange mateship, the pairing of a Hellhorse with a Red-Finned Tidal. It's certainly not something Agnes had ever considered before it happened.
She'd been letting off her bad temper in the mangrove forest one day, kicking at trees and setting whole boughs on fire. Franklyn came across her as she jumped into the water to attack a snake that strayed too close, and he fell in love with the (literally) fiery-tempered Hellhorse.
He danced for her that day, and every time he saw her after. He even risked brushing against her as she stood in water that was boiling from the heat of her flames.
Even a Hellhorse can be impressed by that sort of determination. Eventually she relented and let her mate see that she returned his feelings. She even learned how to turn her innate flames off while in the water.

AJ Bryll Bervirius

Bryll Bervirius is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Bryll is a second-generation member of the Hellpack, of the female Hellhorse Bervirius line. Her mate is the wild-born Horse named Brian. She tries to hold herself up as an example of strength and discipline to younger generations.
Unfortunately, her temper usually gets the better of her, resulting in the surrounding jungle gaining a few more bare patches where she's taken her bad mood out on a group of innocent trees.

AJ Franklyn Mizamson

Franklyn is the son of Shane and Amelia Mizam. He was raised within the AnselaJonla flock, like his parents were. Franklyn is usually found winding his way through the roots of the mangrove forest he calls his home. There he waits for his mate, a Hellhorse who was also born to the clan. He fell in love the instant he met her, and won her heart with his bravery in approaching her, his determination, and his tenacity in showing his affections whenever she was near. Whenever he hears his Hellhorse mate nearby he will swim near the surface, twisting and turning in dazzling displays of colour. Sometimes he will dive deep, and then burst to the surface and perform his tricks in the air before he falls back into the water. Franklyn prides himself on being so good he never makes a splash on re-entry.

Dimar's Fiery Folly

Dimar's Fiery Folly is both the name of this dragon and the location he resides in.
The residence is an ornamental tower built by a human named Dimar, resembling a castle keep that had been destroyed in a fire so hot it could melt stone. It's large and roomy enough that most dragon breeds could comfortably live inside its open-sided upper floor.
The dragon is a loner, who prefers the seclusion of the hilltop tower to the company of the rest of the flock. From his vantage point he can see for miles over the otherwise flat plains, and he spends hours just staring into the distance.
It's a good thing he does, as rumours have arisen that he has a treasure hoard in the lower floors, and treasure hunters and glory seekers frequently come poking about as a result.
The rumour is partially right. There is sometimes a treasure in the folly, waiting for the right person to come claim it. Over an empty pedestal is carved a sign "Spaces are slashes".

AJ Avatar of Daydreams

Daydreams is a facet of The Avatar of Change's power, much like his father is only a container for a small portion of The Guardian of Nature's magical strength. Unlike Yayaloney, however, Daydreams can go visit the source of his power, The Avatar of Change being far less reclusive than The Guardian of Nature.
Daydreams has a minor ability to see into the future of the flock, which is amplified if he shares his power with the other facets of power. They use this skill to guide the flock through dangerous times. They foresaw enough of the Great Blizzard's devastation and the rise of the Necromancer to protect the flock, in the form of directing the stone-workers and earth-movers to create a massive underground sanctuary that would protect from the elements and be more easily defended than the scattered caves, nests, villages and farms that flock and clan called home.
Daydream was pleased when the visions changed after this was done, to show a brighter future for all under his protection.

AJ Hellpack's Healer

Hellpack's Healer is the White dragon who resides at Hellfort with the Hellpack. When he came to the fort he had a name, a proper one, but the Hellpack never bothered to learn it, and after decades of only being called Healer, he's forgotten his name himself.
He came to reside at the Hellfort after being rescued from a group of dragon poachers who were hunting him. Some humans believe that the bones, scales and meat of a White dragon retain some healing magic after death, much like a dead Cassare's bones continue to nullify magic, which can cure the ailments of whomever consumes them. The high prices offered by human "doctors", combined with the pacifistic nature of a White dragon, makes them very attractive to hunters.
Healer's frantic cries for help as he dodged crossbow bolts and the attacks of a poacher's Black dragon called the Hellpack to his aid. Even after he'd regained his strength at the Hellfort, he saw no point in leaving. Even the Hellpack needs a healer, after all.

AJ Melissa Flitter

Melissa is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the desert and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Neotropical dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the flock, both dragons took the same name, Flitter, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained with them.
Melissa hates tea. She hates the smell, she hates the taste, she hates being reminded that her own scent, which she does not notice much like a person does not smell their own body's odours, is that of the disgusting mixture of fragrant leaves steeped in boiling water.
Why she hates tea so much can be traced back to just one thing: all her life people have assumed that she likes it because of her breed. Now she reacts violently whenever anyone mentions tea in her presence, smashing any cups that people dare offer her.
Coffee, on the other hand, is perfectly acceptable.

AJ George Helldread

George is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found near a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Horse dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Felldread, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Where the other defence force dragons are content with only attacking intruders, George prefers to take the fight to threats himself. More than one potential attack on clan and flock has been thwarted by this wyvern swooping down and breathing flames over a gathered force of soldiers.
His Hellhorse daughter, Agnes, has taken to accompanying him on these trips. He's so proud of her.

AJ David Cozike

David is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Yellow-Crowned dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Cozike, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Having been raised among many other breeds of dragon, David lacks the viciousness and tendency towards violence that is characteristic of male Hellfires. Despite his fearsome appearance, David is soft-hearted towards those smaller and weaker than him, and he's usually found tending to the hatchlings.
David is especially wary of hatchlings trying to wander away, ever since one was attacked by "knights". He'll gently pick up any he sees stray; luckily the Magi are proficient with fireproofing spells for those who need them.

AJ Rick Amest

Rick is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found near a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, Rick found his lifemate, an Olive dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Amest, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Rick is one of the more popular dragons in the flock. He's often found in an open clearing with dragons and humans of all ages ringed around him, watching him use his magic to create illusions to accompany his humming and telepathic singing.
It's a good thing he has a vivid imagination, because new songs are always being brought to him, from all over the world. He definitely gets a lot of use out of Meghan's library to get new ideas for his illusions.

AJ Gary Dewvory

Gary is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Nhiostrife wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Dewvory, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Unlike his breed-mate Alfie, and most other White dragons for that matter, Gary doesn't focus on physical wounds and injuries. He can heal them if he wants to, but he's found a much better use for his healing magic; some dragons are so much nicer to deal with when they've been relieved of the pain of a bad tooth.

AJ Alfie Chi

Alfie is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Daydream dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Chi, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Alfie will happily leave the flock's territory if humans come to him asking for his help. The defence force wouldn't mind this, if he'd only tell them that he was leaving, so they could keep an eye on him.

AJ Ashe Wonder

Ashe is a compassionate and kind dragon who cannot stand to hear any creature in pain. If she can hear its mental cries for help she will go to it, no matter where it is. She'll often ask the Magi to help her in this, as they're the best at accurately locating where a mental voice is coming from.
She draws the line, however, at allowing the Magi to teleport her straight there, unless the creature is in imminent danger of dying. To her ever-lasting embarrassment, Ashe has never quite adjusted to the feeling of being teleported, and she suffers terribly from teleport-sickness. Whenever she does allow herself to be teleported, she is guaranteed to paint the ground where she lands with some rather interesting colours.
It is advised not to be underneath her when this happens.

AJ Cait Bervirius

Cait Bervirius is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Hot tempers are a common trait of the Bervirius females, and Cait's Hellfire Wyvern mate, Colin, often finds himself fleeing from Cait's fiery anger. Her flashes of temper vanish as quickly as they start, however, and once calm Cait will take to the sky in pursuit of her swift-flying lover.
She enjoys stalking the smaller dragon through the sky, and the agile aerobatic manoeuvres they engage in once he spots her. Cait's rather vain, so she will deliberately direct the chase over human settlements just to bask in the enjoyment and admiration of anyone who stops to watch the display of aerial skill.

Z'Efee Red Messy

Efee is leader of the Nursery dragons, a loose collective of adults that like to nurture the flock's growing hatchlings. He really enjoys seeing a youngster go from stumbling around, fresh out of the egg and wobbly on its feet, to a confident and mature adult, ready to fly, swim or walk away to live its life to the full.
It was Efee who put his paw down and said "Only twenty-one babies at a time, and only seven of those can be eggs," knowing his limits in caring for rambunctious babies. He's the only dragon who completely dedicates his life to the nursery, rarely leaving the large cave that he claimed for the purpose. He absolutely adores all species of dragons and drakes, and has decided that his purpose in life is to make sure that more come safely into the world.
There are times, however, when he regrets this decision. This is usually when there are twenty hatchlings running around, getting into trouble, and causing chaos with untrained and untamed magical abilities.

AJ Ples Yease

Ples is not a patient dragon. Ples is not a polite dragon. Ples is not a kind dragon. Ples is a fighter. Fighting is what he loves most in life, especially if it's against dangers to the flock.
He flies low, below the Cassare and Red accompanying him, watching for threats underneath them. Magic isn't a problem, not with Hariz so close, but wild dragons are. One of the Desipis, Wrath, was being harassed by a wild Cassare. The smaller dragon was stalking him, stealing his prey, and attacking him when he tried to rest. Wrath was unable to catch the nimble nuisance on the ground, and could not fly to catch it with his magic nulled.
Ples flexes his claws as he crosses the invisible line into Wrath's hunting grounds. He's smaller than the gargantuan mindshredders, his wings proportioned to carry him without the aid of magic. He won't need the back-up of Vepi and Hariz to handle a single Cassare in claw-to-claw combat.
This, Ples thinks, will be a quick and easy problem to fix.

AJ Delia Arwen

Delia is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Fever Wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Arwen, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
As a Bright-Breasted Wyvern, Delia is extremely visible to anyone nearby. She's also rather vain, and so she likes to go and sit in human villages to be stared at and admired by the locals.
The smarter villagers see her as a good-luck charm, even if she does eat some of their livestock, because she drives off any predators lurking nearby as thanks for the meal and admiration. A single, usually old, sheep is a better price to pay than a whole flock lost to wolves, after all.

AJ Qwow Denied

For a long time, the telepathic communication of dragon-kind was believed to be magical in nature. This belief was undisputed in the AnselaJonla flock, even with the presence of the magic-less Mints.
Then Qwow and her kin were discovered, and their magic-repelling abilities realised. By all theories, this should have rendered them telepathically deaf and mute. Yet they were not, shattering the magic-telepathy belief into smithereens.
Qwow is part of the research team trying to discover a new explanation for dragon-kind's telepathic ability. Her sarcastic approach to problems is a means of diffusing tension with the more magical breeds, who feel uncomfortable working in close proximity to her.

AJ Rayuj Denied

Bodies crunched under Rayuj's paws as he strode through the Necromancer's army. He didn't really need to do anything more than that, as his natural anti-magic field did all the work, cancelling the animation spells that drove the warlord's victims forwards towards the flock's territory.
A sorcerer shrieked in pain as Rayuj approached, incinerated by the flames of his no longer docile mount. Arrows hissed through the air, fired at the Cassares and Desipis by the living soldiers that followed the undead. Most did not reach the ground, destroyed in mid-flight by the magic of Rayuj's flock-mates. A single arrow penetrated, piercing Rayuj's wingsail in its descent. He flicked the injured limb and hissed in displeasure. Whites were as affected by his field as any other dragon, and the pastes they used to heal Cassares smelled awful.
There were no more bodies dropping in front of him, only a wide gap then living humans. Rayuj sprung into the air. His job was done, time for him to leave.

AJ Traci Chrome

Traci is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found along the coast and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Nebula dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Chrome, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Traci loves shiny stones, which she collects in her nest. This has caused some trouble in the past, when she's snatched them from humans, but she's learnt that anything in human possession is probably best left there.

AJ Patty Chi

Patty is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a White dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Chi, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
It may seem unusual for a Daydream dragon to be part of the flock's defence force, but that's where Patty can be found. It's hard, after all, to attack a group of dragons if your mind is wandering into daydreams and fantasies.

AJ Desolation Sociopathy

Sociopathy is not a dragon who wakes up easily. He likes to wake slowly, to take his time in getting to his paws and facing the day. Waking him quickly is, in fact, rather hazardous to one's mental health, unless it is absolutely one-hundred-percent an emergency that only a Desipis can handle.
"Go bother Psychopathy," he'll tell you then, nudging you in his sister's direction with your sanity intact.
This morning sluggishness is his excuse for a lot of things that happen to him. Such as not noticing a human child sleeping on his paw for a good hour after waking. The sole survivor of a bandit raid (the bandits in question also being dead, courtesy of a passing Brute), she had been brought to the flock and sought shelter with the biggest dragon in sight.
Sociopathy found the girl's oblivious boldness amusing, and decided to keep her as a friend-slash-pet. Even now, after her death, he visits her grandchildren with gifts on a regular basis.
It's a pity those gifts are often dead bandits.

AJ Desolation Fury

Fury flicked her tail open and closed as she stared at the approaching army. The Desipis were often called upon to quell magical threats to the flock, but there had never been one this big. She glanced to her left. There had never been one that required them to work with the hated Cassares.
The Necromancer's forces covered the land as far as Fury could see. Magically reanimated corpses formed the front ranks, controlled by sorcerers and liches mounted on mind-bound Hellhorses. Behind them marched humans who'd willingly joined the Necromancer's cause, intermingled with the twisted beings bred from the experiments done on those who opposed the mad mage.
She screamed a challenge into the air, reaching out with her mind-shredding powers. The nearest sorcerer stumbled as she found her mark, but he quickly resisted her. His mind was bolstered by the power he wielded, or he was already insane. It was hard to tell.
This would be a good hunt. She would add several more gems to her hide today.

AJ Meghan Zav

Meghan is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Golden wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Zav, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Meghan is a quiet dragon, who is usually found sunbathing outside of the cave she shares with her mate, her fins raised for cooling. There is often a book found between her front feet, being carefully turned with one claw whenever she finishes a page.
Because of Meghan's collection of books, which has grown into a veritable library over time, the more fiery breeds in the flock such as Embers, Hellfires, and Hellhorses are not permitted inside her cave.

AJ Peter Dex

Peter is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on the side of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Striped dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Dex, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
The snoring of this Ember dragon can quite literally shake a mountain, causing more than one village to think an eruption is about to happen. Peter doesn't believe for a second that he snores, and always faithfully promises to investigate to make sure one isn't coming.
Sometimes he finds the opposite, and that the humans really are in danger, or would be if they hadn't already fled. Maybe snoring is a good thing after all.

AJ Sean Brienne

Sean is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Falconiform Wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Brienne, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Sean is usually found near the volcano hatchery of the flock, which he defends by making the ground in the intruder's path too hot to cross. If anything gets too close, he'll maul them with claws and teeth instead.

AJ Rosemary Brienne

Rosemary is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, an Ember dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Brienne, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Rosemary loves to soar over the volcano hatchery, where she uses her keen eyes to watch for intruders to warn her mate about. If they get close enough to be a threat, she will intervene herself. She's not the largest or heaviest dragon, but she doesn't need to be after diving several hundred feet at top speed.

AJ Ginger Arya

Ginger is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Black Capped Teimarr, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Arya, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Like her mate, Ginger loves flying. She prefers the challenges of the mountains and the dangers of the volcanoes though, meaning they don't often fly together. Ginger loves to tease other dragons on the ground, diving at them and seeing how close she can get to them without colliding. Some of the others don't appreciate feeling her claws raking across their backs, however, and will warn her off.
They appreciate this skill when there's a fight though, and then she doesn't aim to miss.

AJ Core Denied

Core is rather poor at organising things. One might even say that he would struggle to find coal in a colliery, ash after a forest fire, bread in a bakery, or other, less-polite, comparisons to his incompetence. It is, some unkind dragons say, a miracle he even managed to reproduce.
Never was this more evident than the time he was supposed to arrange the winter gala. He booked a travelling band - for a date two weeks after the event. He arranged for catering; the company came three days early, and every single dish was meat-based. He begged and pleaded and harangued the entertainers among the flock into agreeing to do something for the gala, and told every single one of them a different date. He even cajoled the Frostbites and Ices into making the gala's site more "wintery", which was about the only thing done at the right time.
Since then, Core has been kept away from just about everything that needs planning. Especially when making defensive plans against the Necromancer.

AJ Frank Argis

Frank is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Magi dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Argis, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Frank is a bit of a showoff, constantly preening his scales to achieve the maximum shine possible. His role in the clan, in his mind, is simple: if something attacks, he'll defend the waterborne hatchlings in any way he can.
His strong beak and bony head means that any attackers who don't take note of his aggressive stance soon regret taking him on. Any that survive Frank's attacks soon have to deal with his Magi mate.

Sigforia Aquifoliaceae 1

Aquifoliaceae 1 was the first Flamingo Wyvern to join the flock after the Great Storm. No one is quite sure where her egg even came from, as it just appeared in the hatchery one day. She insists that her name is Aquifoliaceae, though she reluctantly agreed to answer to Sigforia as well.
This, Meghan the Dorsal librarian explained, comes from the southern Galsreim language of Latatian, which is used by scientists across Valkemare to classify different species or kinds of animal, plant, and mineral. In this case the word refers to the plant known as Holly. As this Flamingo is neither a spiky-leaved tree, nor a Christmas dragon named for such, her name choice is perplexing to many.
"With many Aquifoliaceae you can summon one," she explains cryptically, whenever someone asks her the meaning of her name.

Vidio Aquifoliaceae 7

Unlike the vast majority of his vibrant pink kin, Vidio's colour is so pale it's almost white. This is a result of his diet; there are few of the colour-producing algae to be found in the mountains where he has made his home.
.
Vidio came to reside there purely by accident. He was crossing the mountain range while migrating between feeding grounds, when he accidentally strayed within the broadcast range of an irate Desipis. As soon as their minds touched, Vidio lost all control of his flight. .
He came to on a rocky mountain side, alive but badly injured. His right side took the brunt of the impact, and most of the bones in that wing were shattered to dust. The Flamingo breed's lack of magical ability meant he couldn't even begin to heal it himself. He was stuck in that alpine valley, which he soon came to enjoy living in. .
By the time he was discovered, there was no way for the Whites to fix his wing without shattering the bones once more, something that Vidio refused to allow.

Fadio Aquifoliaceae 154

Fadio doesn't like raw shrimp very much, and prefers to cook them before eating. Frying them is his favourite thing to do.
He tends to fry them in oil mixed with garlic and chilli. He says the flavour is absolutely wonderful, and that everyone should try garlic chilli shrimp at least once. Alas, the amount of garlic is offputting for most other dragons, and they decline to try his creations.
The odour of garlic hangs around Fadio like a cloud, seeming to seep out his pores at times. For this reason, he is unlucky in love, with most female dragons refusing to even come near him. One day he will find a female capable of looking past his aroma to see the brilliant dragon he is. Or one with no sense of smell.

AJ Clark Estel

Clark is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Nebula dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Estel, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Clark loves to read, and is always seen pacing outside of Meghan's library cave as she patiently picks something out to read. His favourite book is a huge map of the night skies, with names and stories of all the things he can see up there. It's not surprising he ended up with a Nebula for a mate, with his obsession over all things celestial.

AJ Vince Wan

Vince is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Golden wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Wan, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Vince is ever-so-slightly clumsy. It's not his fault, however. As a hatchling he wandered away from the safety of the caves one day. Before anyone realised he was gone he was beset by a group of "knights", who attacked him with the intention of parading the body of a "dangerous" dragon around the nearby villages.
Before David and Cynthia drove the men away, Vince suffered deep injuries to his left leg and wing that even Gary, young as he was then, could not fully heal.

AJ Sonja Leon

Sonja is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Tsunami wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Leon, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
It's Sonja's fault that fiery dragons are banned from Meghan's library. All she was doing was looking for one of the White dragons to heal her sickness, and she'd been told they were both in there. Unfortunately one of the symptoms of the illness was sneezing, which was accompanied by involuntary fireballs.
She sneezed. Directly onto a bookshelf. And even though they were "just stories" (in Sonja's opinion anyway), Meghan banned all fiery dragons from that cave. She says it's fairer than asking the Magi to fireproof all of the books.

AJ Magnus the Red Leondottir

Magnus is the daughter of James and Sonja Leon, and was raised within the AnselaJonla flock like her parents were.
She is close friends with Horus, and readily calls her Warmaster as she prefers to be called. She likes Horus' plans for taking over new territory, but agrees that they aren't really practical to put into action. At least not with real dragons and humans.
Magnus is unusually skilled with magic for a Red dragon, especially with finely detailed and finicky work. She can use her powers to levitate and shape bits of metal into figurines large enough for a dragon to push around a painted board a human made for them. At least once a week Magnus, Horus, and some of their other friends will gather in Horus' cave to use these figurines to carry out Horus' plans in miniature.

AJ Warrior of the Thames

Warrior of the Thames lives on the border between the lands of the AnselaJonla flock and clan, and those lands claimed by the Necromancer. This border is marked by a great wall, taller and broader than any other in Galsreim. There are several guard posts on this wall, and Thames lives at one called Castle Black, named for its Black Dragon inhabitants.
.
Like all serving at the border wall, Thames swore a solemn oath in front of the three Guardians of Nature and their Avatars.
"Night gathers, and now my watch begins. It shall not end until my death. I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children. I shall wear no crowns and win no glory. I shall live and die at my post. I am the spell in the darkness. I am the watcher on the walls. I am the fire that burns against the cold, the light that brings the dawn, the horn that wakes the sleepers, the shield that guards the realms of men. I pledge my life and honour to the Night's Watch, for this night and all the nights to come."

AJ Gallifrey Falls No More

Gallifrey was a large city in Galsreim. The rulers of Gallifrey controlled the magical wards that kept the Jehumah Desert from expanding and swallowing the fertile farmlands of the region.
Falls No More had watched the city grow from farming village to bustling metropolis. In repayment for his life being saved by a human, he'd protected Gallifrey over the centuries.
One threat was too much for this old warrior, however. An army raised by Gallifrey's jealous neighbour, the city-state of Skaro, marched upon Gallifrey. Human mages reeking of Death-mana herded zombies ahead of living knights and archers.
Falls No More knew then why all the Soulpeaces in the area had been so brutally slaughtered. Zombie dragons plodded alongside the human ones, while Vampire dragons cavorted in the moonlight.
In one last desperate act, Falls No More cast a spell, pulling on the time energy of the desert barrier to freeze the city and the army in time while he looked for allies to help his friends.

AJ Gideon Mabe

Gideon really, really like's his fruit's and vegetable's. He, therefore, assi'st's a human greengrocer in his market stall, acting as both security and sale'sdragon, in exchange for free ca'st-off's and damaged good's.
Unfortunately, this trader i's, like greengrocer's all over Gal'sreim, afflicted with a strange compul'sion to insert an apo'strophe in front of the letter "s" at random, whether it's use is correct or not. Thi's tic is apparently infectiou's, and Gideon was stricken with this de'sire within day's of beginning hi's job.
Gideon's newfound love of the 19th letter of the alphabet i's driving the more learned member's of the flock ab'solutely batty. He is frequently 'seen fleeing Megan's lecture's on the correct u'se of an apostrophe.

AJ Swowu Yixena Xoriden

Swowu's egg was rescued from some bandits who'd planned... well, no one in the flock is quite sure what they planned to do with a Copper dragon egg or hatchling, but it probably wasn't any good.
The lost little Copper was subsequently raised within the flock, and given as much care and attention as any of the dragons that come under the watchful eyes of the Pink dragons.
Quite unfortunately, Swowu grew up to be rather... odd. She can go months without being seen by any flock member. When she is making her presence known she wanders around muttering nonsense to anyone she can convince to listen to her.
Her most frequently repeated comments are dire warnings about "Him", a supposedly chaotic being that Swowu refuses to name directly. A being who will be born in an outpouring of decadence, and whose coming will herald a new beginning for those who value beauty, music, and all the joyful things in life.
Swowu clearly believes this is a bad thing, but not all the flock agrees with her.

AJ Foureight Bean

Foureight is a very, very, very disorganised dragon. While she knows precisely what is in her hoard, she frequently loses track of exactly where in her cave she's put things.
She's made many attempts to catalogue and organise the myriad items she's collected from her unfortunate prey, but every single one has failed as she's just tossed new acquisitions in any old direction once she's got bored of playing with them.
Currently she's trying to sort things by colour, intending to create a rainbow around the edges of her cave. She's getting frustrated by things that are more than one colour, however, and keeps having to restart after getting angry and scattering everything around with her vines.

AJ Sean Bean

Sean is a survivor, having escaped "certain" death multiple times. He has been stabbed, shot with arrows, crushed by a rockslide after falling into a crater, and nearly decapitated. If it wasn't for the skills of the White dragons, and his own ability to make decoy heads from his vines, Sean would have died of his injuries a long time ago.
Because of all these experiences, he is very good at pretending to be dead. As a result he keeps being cast in the flock's plays as a character scripted to die. This has earned him the nickname "The Walking Spoiler", and it surprises everyone when he finishes a play without an elaborate death scene.

AJ Nerida Leviathan

Despite his absolute and abiding love for big, tasty fish, especially tuna, Nerida is always very, very, very careful about how he goes about hunting them. If possible, he will get above his prey, to strike downwards unseen.
.
This caution stems from an incident in Nerida's adolescence. On his first unsupervised hunting trip he was stalking a tuna almost as big as he was. He was so focussed on his chosen prey, he was oblivious to everything around him.
.
He had just got into position to strike from beneath when suddenly the tuna jerked from side to side and shot upwards. Incensed, Nerida followed it. Up, up, and up it went, all the way to the surface. In his anger, Nerida burst out of the water, not stopping to think why a tuna would behave in such a manner.
.
Unfortunately, he also failed to notice the very proud fisherman holding the tuna in the air by its tail. His teeth sunk deeply into his arm, before he spat it back out. "Humans taste bad" is his opinion of the incident.

AJ Yowic Eclipse Warrior

Curiosity killed the cat, as the saying goes. In this case, curiosity froze the dragon. Yowic wanted to know what the preservation spell used in the larders felt like, and so hid in a new shipment that one of the Magi was preparing to cast it upon. Since that day, Yowic hasn't aged at all, and the little dragon has stayed little.
Apparently it feels like being tickled all over.

AJ Yissy Shadow

Yissy is a very, very insecure dragon. Even on his best days he's as nervous as a Pyralspite in a room full of rocking chairs. He's constantly asking if he's doing things right, apologising for offending others (in some way no-one's ever been able to figure out), or trying to correct a mistake only he can comprehend.
The tragedy of it is, when he's not doing these things, Yissy is actually quite competent at whatever he sets his mind to doing. Unfortunately the more flustered he gets, the clumsier he becomes, until he's knocking things over with every turn.
His constant apologies grate on the other members of the flock, leaving him with few friends. Those who have stuck by him are trying to get him to be more confident in himself, but it's hard-going, and there are days when they feel like they're just going backwards.
Naturally, he apologises for his inability to change as well.

AJ Lucien Lutar

Lucien is a bit of an innovator. One day he noticed that the electricity that surged through him was also capable of travelling through other things as well. After a little experimentation he discovered that metals were particularly good for passing his electricity around, especially silver, copper, and gold.
He played with this discovery as often as he could, eventually discovering that he could make really, really thin wires glow if he put enough electricity into them. He soon fit these glowing wires into little globes of glass made for him by one of the Spitfires, to make "glow balls" to light dark caves and homes.
Of course, there is the problem of how to make them glow without them being constantly connected to an Electric dragon, but Lucien has some ideas on that score as well. His next idea involves windmills and mill gears.

AJ Fugue Icefire

Fugue sighed as he watched his lover swooping through the sky. The lithe Nhiostrife was one of the most agile dragons the flock had ever seen, and the most perfect and beautiful, at least in Fugue's opinion.
With a roar of challenge, Fugue launched into the air, scattering the cloud of female Nhiostrifes gathered admiringly around Azure's hovering form. Fugue would only share his lover with Lilac, Azure's oldest friend, who only became something more during the rare breeding season when the longing for children became too strong for them both.
Azure's rich, deep laugh touched upon Fugue's mind as the Nhiostrife carefully touched his snout to the Falconiform's. "My heart is yours, silly dragon."
With that, Azure dived, the invitation to chase writ all over his body. Fugue folded his wings back and followed. Chasing was fun, and what came after even more so.

AJ Horus Briennedottir

Horus is the daughter of Sean and Rosemary Brienne. She was raised within the AnselaJonla flock, like her parents were.
Horus calls herself Warmaster and would like it if others did too. She is always making plans to expand the territory under the flock's protection, whether the humans or dragons already living there like it or not. As far as Horus is concerned, all dragons are part of the same flock and all humans are part of the same clan, and it is her divine destiny to unite them all under one banner.
She doesn't mean to actually carry out her plans, however. They're just a dream of hers, and she knows that the flock would never agree to follow through on them.

AJ Rachel Wreck

Rachel slipped silently through the trees after the human hunter, flicking her tail softly across the leaf litter.
Soon.
The fool had strayed from the paths and into the woods, chasing after a large stag. The dark trees had swallowed him up, and he'd quickly got lost. His frantic thoughts and fearful imaginings had sung to her, marking him as her prey.
Not long now.
It hadn't been hard to hide, to position herself so she could prick him with her spines from the cover of a thorny bush.
Almost.
He stumbled, his whole body shaking. He pulled his cloak tighter, muttering about unseasonable cold. Confusion about the weather clouded his thoughts as pushed on through the trees.
Nearly ready.
Rachel trembled with anticipation as the hunter sunk to his knees in a clearing, no longer able to feel his legs.
Terror was such a wonderful taste.
She deliberately rustled the leaves as she stepped out. She so loved the see the look of desperate realisation on her prey's face.
Dinner was served.

AJ Neal Arwen

Neal is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Bright-Breasted Wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Arwen, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Lazy is the best word to describe Neal. Every morning he feeds, washes in the river, then curls up on a sun-drenched rock and doesn't move until the sun no longer bathes him in light.
This laziness means it always comes as a surprise when Neal joins in a battle to defend a hatchery. The first warning anyone ever gets of his presence is his spined tail ripping into unprotected flesh. He'll aim for the throat if he can, but the toxin on his spines means any blow will eventually kill.

AJ Uolyiv Blizzard

"FORE!" comes the call, echoing across the empty span of grass, interspersed with small ponds, and odd pits of sand. A small, dimpled, white ball flies through the air, propelled in its flight by a strangely-shaped metal club held in Uolyiv's front paws.
Eventually the ball lands back on the short-cropped grass, rolling gently to a halt on the flat ground. A flag flutters nearby, its pole stuck into a hole in the ground that's just a little bigger than the ball itself.
Uolyiv pads along the grass to continue playing, oblivious to the incredulous stares and curious muttering that follows his path. He just loves new games, and he's been wanting to play this "golf" ever since it was brought down from the northern territories of a rainy little island nation just off the coast of Galsreim.

AJ Raspberry Pfft

Raspberry Pfft is a very immature little hatchling. Whenever someone speaks to him, he only ever responds by blowing a raspberry at them.
One day he blew a raspberry at Pillar MacCawber, after she caught him messing with her magic supplies. "Pfft" was his answer to her angry tirade, which only made her more irate.
One anger-fuelled spell saw Raspberry frozen as a hatchling forever.

AJ Wirenth Wan

Wirenth is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on a mountain slope and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Red dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Wan, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Wirenth is one of the few dragons in the flock who will let clan members ride on her back outside of an emergency. She formed a strong bond with a young clanswoman named Brekke as a hatchling, and even since Brekke's passing Wirenth has allowed her descendants to fly with her.
She wishes her mate could fly with her more often, but an injury obtained as a hatchling makes it difficult for him to move his left wing. Dual flights are therefore saved for special occasions.

AJ Mike Halojym

Mike is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on a mountain and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Guardian dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Halojym, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Not a day goes by without Mike dumping a large animal in the hatchling cave for the younger dragons to eat. He prides himself on his hunting skills, and considers the entire day a failure if he fails to make a kill on his first dive.
This pride means he refuses to target anything but the biggest males with the largest pointy bits sticking out of their heads. As a result he spends a lot of time in the company of Alfie as his resulting injuries are healed.

AJ Melody Shae

Melody is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the mountains and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Waterhorse dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the flock, both dragons took the same name, Shae, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Shae likes to point out to everyone that would listen that her scales are not really gold. They look like gold, and they're as pretty as gold, but they're not pure gold metal. That would be silly.
She wouldn't be able to fly, she often says, if her scales were made of gold. She keeps a bar of it with her to let people hold it, and feel its weight in comparison to its size. If she was covered in that, she wouldn't be able to move.
Sadly this does not stop opportunistic treasure hunters from trying to kill her for her scales if they find her.

AJ Titus Zav

Titus is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on a mountain slope and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Dorsal dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Zav, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Titus is almost as vain as a Lumina dragon, and will immediately remove any scale that becomes marred in any way. Following the example of his flockmate Eleanor, Titus saves these scales to pass on to humans.
As a result of this, Titus' hide is often marred with patches of blank skin where the scales he's removed are still regrowing. In his haste to look perfect, Titus tends to forget that his scales do not regrow as fast as a Lumina's would.

AJ Strongclaw Blackmane

Strongclaw is very, very strongly attracted to shiny things. If he sees something glinting in the light, he just has to have it. Silly little notions like ownership don't matter to him, at least when things belong to other beings. He'll fight (almost) anyone to get their shinies away from them.
One of his most daring and impressive feats involved snatching a crown without harming the king who was wearing it at the time. That king's revenge has been stalled by the inaccessible nature of Strongclaw's lair, high on an unscaleable mountain peak.
For obvious reasons, Strongclaw does not get along with the Corvid sisters, the flock's Heartstealers. He's threatened to rend them limb from limb if he ever catches them taking from his hoard again. If he wants to give away parts of his hoard, and he frequently does, he will do it himself, without the aid of meddling little manifestations of holiday spirit.

AJ Kai Ranth

As a Green dragon, Kai was naturally chosen to help create a refuge in the centre of the flock's territory. The Guardian of Nature and the Avatars were insistent that one was necessary, that they needed a shelter large enough to hold all of the flock's dragons, as well as the humans under their protection, some of their livestock, and some food stores.
For months the Green and Stone dragons worked on digging several connected caverns out from under several tall mountains, with the sporadic assistance of the more magically-powerful breeds.
Kai, perched on a high ledge in the main cavern, was pleased with the work. Ledges along the walls led into sleeping caves, while pools and rivers provided a place for the aquatic breeds. The larger entrances could be blocked with rocks in seconds, and the smaller ones were accessed by sharply-cornered tunnels.
Kai sincerely hoped that whatever the Guardian and Avatars had seen in the flock's future to require such a fortress would not come to pass.

AJ Gwendolywn Astral

Gwendolyn is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on the slopes of a volcano and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Stone dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Astral, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
She doesn't understand why so many of her offspring are Geode Dragons instead of Green or Stone, but she just shrugs and accepts it as one of those things.
Whenever Gwendolyn gets too exasperated with her mate's laconic nature, she will slam her tail into the ground next to him in order to get his attention. Unsurprisingly, this action isn't exactly popular when Bradley's near a hatchery, so she refrains from doing it there.
It's no relief for him though, as she'll simple hit him directly instead.

AJ Yayaloney Guardian

There is, unknown to most inhabitants of Valkemare, only one true Guardian of Nature. This beast is hardly ever seen, remaining hidden from mortal and immortal alike. Its true appearance is not known to any creature living today. Even the species of the Guardian is not certain, though most assume that it must be a dragon to be so long-lived.
The dragon breed known as the Guardian of Nature is a facet of the one Guardian, summoned to the world when Ice, Thunder, and Magma dragons combine their powers in a time of need. Due to the rarity of those breeds interacting in the wild, most Guardians of Nature reside within human-created dragon flocks.
Yayaloney is the first of the Guardian facets summoned by the dragons of the AnselaJonla flock. He is an extremely lazy dragon, who spends the majority of his time sprawled on a ledge, one wing dangling down over the edge. It is not, however, a very high ledge, and there is often a young hatchling play-pouncing on said wing.

AJ Donald Deimos

Donald is one of the many dragons rescued and raised by the clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in a forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Mint dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Deimos, to pass down to any offspring that remained with the flock.
Donald is, like any other Harvest dragon, a voracious eater. Luckily the villagers near his cave view him as a good luck charm, and view an offering of food to him to be an integral part of their Harvest Home festivals. Local superstition even says that if they do not offer him food, the next year will see frosts that kill the seeds, floods that wash the soil away, and unrelenting drought that will kill whatever is left.
Donald thinks this is silly, and that the bad weather that year was just pure coincidence. He's tried telling the humans this, but they just won't listen to him.

AJ Pennine Corvid

Pennine is a mischievous little dragon, who often rearranges the belongings of her victims at the same time as she takes something from their hoards. Like the birds she is named for, Penny can't resist shiny things, and her borrowed gifts are usually of the sort that gleams in the sun.
This love of shiny objects often brings her into contention with Strongclaw, a male Golden Wyvern with a similar love for shinies. His greater strength and dire threats don't deter her from sneaking into his impressively large hoard to "liberate" some of the things he has hidden there.
She hopes one day he realises that she's leaving something every time she comes to visit. Penny didn't think expressing her own love would be this difficult.

AJ Yvonne Marinor

Despite having been raised by the AnselaJonla flock, Yvonne sometimes behaves more like a wild Hellfire Wyvern. She is usually found in the company of a flock of wild ones that occupy a dormant volcanic crater, where she battles for dominance of the pack. She's a good fighter, and often ends up as the pack Alpha for a time.
Yvonne likes to compare her species to the small carnivorous mammals known as spotted hyenas. Like Hellfire Wyverns, their packs are ruled by the females of the species, with no male ranking above a female. The females care for the young, and the males are lucky if they're allowed near.
Yvonne's favourite mate is not, to the surprise of most, another Hellfire Wyvern. No matter how many wild mates she takes, she always returns to the flock and Arthur, a Radiant Angel.

AJ Colin Bervirius

Colin Bervirius is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Colin is one of those wild-born mates, paired with the Hellhorse named Cait. He's smart enough to admit that he's slightly scared of his hot-tempered mate, and when she's angry Colin will usually go for a long flight over the jungle surrounding the Hellfort. When Cait comes looking for him after she calms, he leads her into a chase that leaves them both exhausted and happy.
He looks fearsome, but he's really a big softie at heart.

AJ Alain Bervirius

Alain Bervirius is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
A founding member of the Hellpack, Alain is mated to the Horse dragon Amara. He's a rather lazy example of his species, and is usually found sunning himself at the top of one of the fort's many towers.
If something does stir him into action, he approaches his task with a single-mindedness that is almost frightening in its intensity.

AJ Andreas Drezel

Andreas Drezel is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Andreas is mate to fellow founding member Alicia. Due to the injuries his mate sustained from some soldiers he mistrusts any strange group of humans found anywhere near Hellpack lands.
He thinks it's especially suspicious that the soldiers' insignia bore no resemblance to that of any lord inside or neighbouring AnselaJonla flock territory. As none of that group survived the vengeful wrath of the flock in order to be interrogated, he's always on the lookout for any more people wearing similar marks, so he can find out who they answer to and who he can ultimately blame for Alicia's crippling wounds.

AJ Agrippa Ascertes

Agrippa Ascertes is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Agrippa is mate to the Horse dragon Anibal, and so is also a founding member of the Hellpack. She joined the venture for just one reason: power.
She quite liked the idea of being one of the matriarchs of a special little sub-flock, of being one of the oldest, wisest and most respected Wyverns in her immediate vicinity. The fact that she kept losing to Gloria had absolutely nothing to do with it, not one bit.
At least that's what she tells herself.

AJ Arianna Coenus

Arianna Coenus is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Arianna is the mate to the Horse dragon Astuten. She isn't really interested in the "special lineages" or the other things that Anibal said to sway the other founding dragons into joining the Hellpack. She just wanted to be away from the constant hustle and bustle of the flock's main territory, and thought joining the project would help with that.
It was Arianna who found the "abandoned" fort the Hellpack resides in. Of course it wasn't quite so deserted when she found it, but it's amazing how persuasive a Hellfire Wyvern can be when she puts her mind to it.

AJ Dorgan Bervirius

Dorgan Bervirius is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Dorgan is strangely nocturnal for a Hellhorse. She prefers to fly in the night sky, where her blue flames outshine all but the fullest of moons. She likes to dance among the star-studded blackness with some of the other dark-loving members of the flock.

AJ June Thax

June is rather slim-built for a Horse dragon, a fact which makes her extremely agile and light on her hooves.
She loves to dance to the tunes of human bards, minstrels, and bands. Twisting, turning, spinning or walking on just her back hooves, or leaping high to perform brief aerobatics. Her human partner, a stablehand who begged to run away with her, to escape a harsh master, performs his own tricks on her strong back.
Their skills have brought them fame across the lands, and people and dragons come from far away to watch them perform. Kings invite them to court, and warlords give them safe passage for the price of a show.
The one thing the duo want most of all is a permanent musician, someone who will work with them to produce music that will fit their show perfectly. Until then, they'll just keep dancing to the local beat.

Z'AJ Anibal Ascertes

Anibal Ascertes is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Anibal, mate of Agrippa, is one of the founders of the Hellpack. He'd become interested in reading through the records of the flock's lineages, and in how a particular dragon's ancestors could be tracked back for centuries.
He gathered up a small group of Hellfires and Horses and convinced them to come with him and start a "special lineage", something that would be pretty and make their offspring desirable.
The group set up home in the jungle-covered foothills of a mountain range, in a nice conveniently empty (with a little persuasion) fort, which they still inhabit to this day.
The rest of the flock doesn't mind. The Hellpack are a nice guard for that stretch of their territory.

AJ Amara Bervirius

Amara is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Amara is the leader of the Hellpack's scouting group, which is made up of Horses and Hellhorses. In contrast to her mate, Alain, she's a very active and energetic dragon. She's also rather jealous that it's Arianna who gets the credit for finding Hellpack Fort. She spotted it first!

AJ Brian Bervirius

Brian Bervirius is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Brian is the wild-born mate of the second-generation Hellhorse called Bryll. He was brought to Hellpack Fort as an egg and raised as part of the group. His crush on the younger Hellhorse was obvious from an early stage, and he was delighted to realise that she at least tolerated him enough to accept him as a mate.
Brian is a member of the scouts, and he often ranges far to check for threats and to find more wild-born eggs to bring back to the Hellpack or, rarely, to the main AnselaJonla flock.

AJ Alicia Drezel

Alicia Drezel is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Alicia is mate to the Hellfire Wyvern called Andreas. She is unable to fly, due to missing half of her left wing, and spends most of her time in the Hellfort.
One day she was tracking a Misfit pygmy through the Jungle, hoping it would lead her to some eggs. She was so focussed on the smaller dragon that they both blundered straight into some soldiers. The pygmy was killed instantly, but Alicia managed to fight, despite being outnumbered and surrounded by warriors.
Her mental screams brought not only the Hellpack to her aid, but also the swiftest fighters from the nearest flock hatchery. The White and Magi dragons did their best, but Alicia's sword-rent wing could not be saved.

AJ Astuten Coenus

Astuten Coenus is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
Astuten is a quiet dragon, which is probably why Arianna chose him as her mate. He's a founding member of the Hellpack, but he doesn't exercise his authority very often. He spends a lot of time trying to clean up the fort, which isn't in the best shape.
He's also a rather agile dragon, and he absolutely loves the challenges the jungle provides for his running. He can often be found galloping through the dense undergrowth, dodging low branches and fallen boughs.
If he hurts himself doing this, well the main flock and their White dragons are only a thought away.

AJ Dunmer Bervirius

Dunmer Bervirius is part of the Hellpack, a group of Hellfire Wyverns and Horses that live slightly separated from the rest of the flock. Having started with a few mated pairs made of one of each breed, they take in new wild-born Hellfires and Horses every generation, as mates for their Hellhorse offspring.
It's a good thing that Dunmer doesn't particularly care what time of day it is, given that his mate is so stubbornly nocturnal. He can sleep any time he needs to, anywhere he feels like it, no matter how busy, noisy, or just plain chaotic his surroundings are.
A few members of the Hellpack claim that Dunmer can, and has, fought off bandits in his sleep. He doesn't remember this event, but thinks it could explain the time he woke up with blood on his hooves.

AJ Modes Slider

Although her magic is still strong, and the blizzards she summons can still freeze man or dragon where they stand, Modes can feel an indescribable sense of something missing.
She has felt it ever since that day. That one incredible day when the Elementals gathered in their threes to summon a Guardian of Nature. They had tried it before, many times, with far more failures than their two wonderful successes.
Modes had felt the power singing through her. Smelt the thaumaturgical tang in the air that signified success. A roar of power preceded the egg's appearance in the centre of the circle of circles, wreathed in fire, ice, and thunder.
She'd felt the power leave her. On that brilliant day, something left Modes forever. A piece of herself was missing, something she couldn't fully describe even to herself.
Her magic is still strong, her mastery over ice still unmatched by lesser breeds, but the power to summon a Guardian of Nature is something she will never be able to call on again.

Z'AJ Qea Ice HWson

Qea Ice HWson came to the flock as a gift from another group of dragons. He sometimes feels like he doesn't belong there because of this, but this usually passes quickly.
Qea is most comfortable high in the mountains, where it is cold, but he doesn't let his discomfort in warmer climates discourage him from travelling. He enjoys seeing new things and meeting new dragons and people.
On the plains of the main continent is a village that renamed itself for him, after he saved them from a marauding Bleeding Moon dragon that had been preying on them. Qea tries to make it back there every year, to make sure they're still okay. The kids of the village especially look forwards to these visits, as Qea will often use his breath to cover the nearby river in ice for them to slide around on. Sometimes he will convince Jaime or Jon to come with him, to make snow for the kids to play in as well.

IAMBADANDGENDEREDWRONG

IAMBADANDGENDEREDWRONG, nicknamed Eyam for the sake of brevity, was supposed to be a female Lumina dragon, and was treated as such for her entire childhood. Despite turning out to be a male dragon, she still thinks of and refers to herself as female because of this.
The rest of the flock accepts this with some amusement. It does confuse newcomers though. Luckily Eyam doesn't get offended when someone uses male pronouns with her, mostly because she often doesn't even realise they're being used for her.

AJ Wanda Argis

Wanda is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found along the coast and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Flamingo Wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Argis, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Like the other Magis in the flock, Wanda prioritises the safety of the young over the defence of the territory if a hatchery is attacked. Once that task is accomplished, however, she will fly out to find her mate and deal with any attackers that he hasn't yet finished off.
She is most definitely the top-dragon in her relationship with Frank, although he would probably disagree.

AJ Tim Anfaw

Tim is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Water dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Anfaw, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Tim is an accomplished magician, and he often does magic tricks to amuse the others around him. If the hatchery he's living near is attacked, he does not immediately join the defence force. Instead he goes to the cave itself and sends as many hatchlings and eggs as he can to safety with his magic.
When that task is completed though, heaven help any attackers that are still around. Tim's magic will tear through them; burning, freezing, transmogrifying, and paralysing in equal measure.

AJ Pillar MacCawber

Pillar MacCawber's egg was a gift to the flock from Delirium's Academy in the far-off land of Herktopia. She is very proud of being a seventh generation pure-bred Magi dragon, and she can sometimes be overly boastful of her ancestry.
This caused her some problems as a hatchling, and she would often get into fights with other dragons whom she'd belittled for their "common" parents or wild origins. As a result she spent a lot of time in "time out", which for magically-inclined breeds means being put next to whichever Cassare is willing to put up with them.
Luckily, Pillar is a lot more humble as an adult and she has accepted that all dragons in the flock are of equal worth, regardless of their lineage. She can often be found outside the hatchery, teaching magic to any hatchling who wants, or needs, to learn from her.

AJ Beatrice Deimos

Beatrice is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on a mountainside and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Harvest dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Deimos, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Beatrice is a bossy little dragon. Despite her small stature, she is definitely in charge of her relationship with her much larger mate.
Despite having no skill in magic herself, Beatrice is forever studying it. This is so she knows exactly what to ask for when she wants one of the Magi to make a runic talisman to protect the cave during the winter months, when Donald is hibernating and defenceless. She knows that the other dragons would be there as soon as possible if someone were to attack, but she wants a defence right there anyway.

AJ Lois Estel

Lois is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Red dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Estel, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Lois just loves to groom her wings, to make sure all of the stars reflected in them can be seen at their brightest at all times.
She also likes to just lie there next to her mate, listening as he reads stories from his favourite book, all about the patterns he can see twinkling back at him.

AJ Patrick Chrome

Patrick is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Coastal Waverunner, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Chrome, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
With his keen eyesight, Patrick can spot trouble long before it reaches him. He then usually goes to meet it head on, laughing all the way.
Human ships that regularly sail near the AnselaJonla clan's harbour know to make for its safety if Patrick is flying patterns on their seaward side. His superior eyesight can see bad weather long before any of their lookouts can.

AJ Faith Dewvory

Faith is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found on the slopes of a mountain and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a White dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Dewvory, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Diving, pouncing, gliding, soaring, climbing, wheeling, spinning, and chasing. Faith loves all the things she can do in the air, and is constantly mimicking the other flyers of the flock, showing them that whatever they can do, she can do better.
She's never smug about her superior flying skills, which is why she still has friends among the flock. Not since the time that being overly smug and too focussed on bragging caused her to fly into a mountainside anyway, an event which Ginger never lets her forget.

AJ Garnet Ambition

Ambition absolutely loves all forms of life on Valkemare. From the smallest insect to the largest dragon, he happily interacts with it all.
He has a personal quest in life, to document and catalogue all the forms of life that he can. He's aligned herself with a community of scholars with the same goal, and he's forever bringing them back samples to study. The universities are becoming used to seeing Ambition winging his way into the animal holding area with something strange from a far off land held in his claws.
Ambition has adopted the naming system that the scholars use, which gives creatures names in the old southern Galsreim language of Latatian. There is a very specific way of writing these names, and he gently corrects any amateur "zoologist" who gets it wrong. Having a looming Pyralspite instruct them to write a name out correctly a few hundred times tends to make any budding scientist remember it for the rest of their life.

AJ Clyde Jawn

Clyde is a bit odd, even by dragon standards. He thinks he is a duck.
Attempts to convince him that he is not a small, edible waterfowl are futile. Clyde swims endlessly around the surface of lakes and rivers making quacking noises.
Even worse, the real ducks that do usually reside on those areas seem to have taken him under their wings, and no longer flee from the predator that swims, quite harmlessly, among them.

AJ Mrs Lovett

Mrs Lovett is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in the mountains and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Spitfire dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons.
Mrs Lovett loves to bake pies. Loads and loads of pies. The pies she bakes used to be terrible, but since meeting Sweeney Todd they've become a widely sought after delicacy among the flock and clan.
It's probably best not ask what's in them. It's a family secret, she'll say. Coriander makes the gravy grander is one of her favourite replies.
Mrs Lovett and Sweeney can often be found dancing and singing together. It's best to ignore what they're saying at these times. It's all nonsense.
Honest.

AJ Jessie Calder

Jessie is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in a forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Swallowtail dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Calder, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Jessie loves playing with the hatchlings, and travels between the hatcheries with Charles flying above. If she ever feels endangered, she calls up a swirl of petals and buds to engulf her attacker while she escapes.

AJ Sweeney Todd

Sweeney Todd is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Ridgewing dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons.
Sweeney Todd is, of all the strange things, a barber. He very carefully uses his tail to grip an extremely sharp straight-razor, which he uses on his human clients. He'll also do nail trimmings, mane clippings and the odd spot of dentistry.
He has a secret loathing for all life, however. He believes that everyone, including himself and Mrs Lovett, deserves to die. Not one dragon, or ten dragons, or a hundred can assuage his hatred for life.
The occasional disappearances of his clients is totally coincidental, everyone is sure.
Sweeney and Mrs Lovett can often be found dancing and singing together. It's best to ignore what they're saying at these times. It's all nonsense.
Honest.

AJ Tricia Mabe

Tricia is fascinated with human tales. She especially likes the ones involving trolls, creatures descended from humans exposed to mana that mutated them into beings of stone. She feels a kinship with the stoney humanoids in the stories, and wishes that they weren't the bad guys quite so often.
It's for this reason that she absolutely adores the works of one specific human writer from a small, cold island just off the northern coast of Galsreim. Mr Perry Tratchett writes about trolls as equals to humans, living with them, and other mana-created races, peacefully in a large city full of magical and technological wonders.
When Mabe heard of Mr Tratchett's passing, it was the first time she mourned the short lifespan of normal humans. Since then she has treasured the Flatworld books even more, as well as his other works. Woe betide anyone who borrows from her collection and returns it with creased page corners or, even worse, food stains.

AJ Bradley Astral

Bradley is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the desert sands and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Green dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Astral, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
He doesn't understand why so many of his offspring are Geode Dragons instead of Green or Stone, but he just shrugs and accepts it as one of those things.
Bradley isn't the most active dragon around. One could even say he's as active as the rocks he resembles. More than one person has failed to notice him until they're literally standing upon him.

AJ Dianna Pasha

Dianna has watched her friend Lucien experimenting with his powers for some time, and she has always encouraged the less-dangerous of his ideas. So when he came to her asking for some help with a new idea, she agreed.
Lucien had a plan to harness the power of the wind to generate electricity; he'd noticed that some metallic rocks would pull towards each and stick together on their own. These same rocks would make electricity in coils of his metal strings if two sticking rocks were spun around the coiled string fast enough.
Lucien had built an "electricity mill" on a wind-swept hill top just outside of a village. He'd borrowed the sails from a grain mill and an old cart axle, to see if his plan to connect them together in order to spin two sticking rocks around a coil of cable would really generate some electricity. It worked on a small scale after all.
Unfortunately there was no wind blowing on the demonstration day, and Dianna's weather magic was needed to make some.

Z'AJ Kristina Dex

Kristina is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found in a jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, an Ember dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Dex, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Kristina is the caretaker of a large garden filled with loads of brightly coloured and aromatic plants and babbling brooks. It's the perfect place for attracting plenty of insects of all kinds. There's even a special area that brings in loads of beautiful butterflies, which Kristina very thoughtfully leaves for the Black Teas to eat.
Kristina will defend this Striped and Black Tea feeding ground in any way she has to, even if it means standing up to a Hellfire Wyvern who wants to enter in all his flame-covered glory.

AJ Mourning Sunsets

Mourning Sunsets is a beautiful and elegant Sunset dragon, who is well-educated in many subjects. Her company is available to any dragon who wishes for it, as long as they can pay her price. Whether her client wishes to have a companion to a social function, talk to a sympathetic ear, be entertained with music or stories, or just to be in the company of someone, Mourning is there for them.
Her private cave, well away from the one she runs her business from, is overflowing with the treasures she's been paid. Her favourite payments are gems the colour of her scales, which she is using to build a mosaic self-portrait.

AJ Lorgar Valiskson

Lorgar is the son of Keven and Claudia Valisk, and was raised in the AnselaJonla flock like his parents were.
Lorgar is part of Horus' gaming group and always plays the part of the flock, refusing to consider representing any other side.
Lorgar believes that AnselaJonla, the human founder of the clan and flock, is the God-Empress of all Mankind. He can often be found in villages just outside of AnselaJonla territory, preaching this belief to the humans there, attempting to convince them that their lives would be better and safer if they agreed to be counted as part of the clan.
While this is true, as the flock protects clan lands from marauders, bandits, and rapacious dragons, Lorgar's approach to recruitment does tend to put people off somewhat.

AJ Charles Calder

Charles is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in a forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Seasonal dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Calder, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Charles travels with his mate between the hatcheries. He likes to create patterns of light on the ground below with his translucent wings. When threatened he will dive on his opponent, copying the Falconiforms of the flock.

AJ Sweet Marrow

Marrow's size allows him to do what most dragons can't; cook in a human sized kitchen. He's often found preparing delightful treats for all his friends. Honey is, as expected, a common ingredient in his creations.
When he's alone, there's one thing he likes to cook above all others. Take a frying pan, and heat some oil. A little rice, some bacon, a bit of sausage, a pawful of sweetcorn, a drizzle of peas, a mushroom or two, a dash of this spice and that, maybe a few herbs... oh, and some diced honey-glazed Crimson Flare to top it off. Absolutely delicious.
Seawyrm stew is a nice little winter-warmer as well, and Pumpkin pie of both kinds graces his table around Halloween.
Most people would expect Marrow not to have any pygmy friends, but that's not true. Any pygmy who's part of the flock is off-limits for eating, and will never see the inside of Marrow's larder, unless they're helping in his kitchen.

AJ Philip Arya

Philip is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found along the coast and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Falconiform Wyvern, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Arya, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Philip likes skimming the coastal waves near one of the hatcheries. His favourite test of skill is seeing how close he can get to the water-dwelling breeds without them noticing his approach.
He excels at catching fish, and will even dive into the water to catch a big one. He claims to have once caught a whale, but none of the other dragons believe him.

AJ Susanoo CB

Susanoo is a master of storms. His power eclipses that of the flock's Storm and Electric Dragons, and as such he views himself as their ruler. As he's generally kind and polite to his "subjects", they don't mind his bossiness all that much.
Susanoo commands the production of storms around his territory. He decides where the clouds should be gathered, where they should burst, and how long they should linger in any one place. It is on his command that forests are struck with lightning to ignite cleansing fires. On his word whole communities are washed away by ferocious floods.
Despite the power he wields, Susanoo has an affable nature, and is friendly towards all who approach him in peace. He always makes time to play with hatchlings, and to teach control of thunder to those who wish to learn. Woe betide those who come to him with evil intentions, however; he will strike them down without mercy.
A word of advice to those who would seek him out; don't call him Susie.

AJ James Leon

James is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found on the shore and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Red dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Leon, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
A watery breed and a fiery breed might seem like a strange match, but the Leon pair surprised the whole flock by making it work. At least once Sonja stopped yelling at James for the large wave he drenched her with at their first meeting.
James fell in love with his mate's stubborn temper and unwillingness to back down from a fight. He spent months wooing her with rare fish from deep in the sea and chests of jewels from sunken ships (which he denies sinking himself, though some have their doubts). When Sonja accepted him, he cheered for days.

AJ Squirtle Mizukami

Squirtle was the first of many Undine to hatch in the AnselaJonla flock. This newly discovered breed soon settled into flock's territories, where they share the waterways and bodies of still water with the already established Water, Shallow Water, Water Walker, and Waterhorse dragons, as well as the elusive water spirits for whom the breed is named.
.
A wanderer at heart, Squirtle travelled all over Galsreim as a young adult. One day, while flying near the eastern coast, she was blown out to sea by a massive twisting storm, and while searching for land to shelter on, she discovered a mountainous island chain. She became fascinated by the people who lived there, and settled in one of their mountain lakes. She adopted the surname of "Mizukami", the local name for water spirits.
.
This surname was quickly adopted by all the Undines that resided in AnselaJonla territory, and Undines regularly fly out to the islands to visit.

AJ Sheri Anfaw

Sheri is one of the many dragons rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. Her egg was found along the coast and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once she matured, she found her lifemate, a Magi dragon, among the other AnselaJonla dragons. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both dragons took the same name, Anfaw, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Sheri uses the waterways of the continents to get around. As long as it's big enough for her body, she will travel up it. She especially likes the "canals" that the humans have built, even more so when they include a way for water-dwelling dragons to open the "locks".
She's loved by humans in the drier forested areas, as she abhors seeing fire sweeping through the trees and will use her tail to splash water on them to extinguish the fires.

AJ Jode Lars-Rubel

Jode was once a normal White dragon, healing any dragon, human or animal that asked for her assistance. That all changed the day she met an angry wild Desipis. The behemoth's magic twisted and tore at her mind, changing her empathy into boredom, compassion to disdain, and kindness to contempt.
Her skill at healing remained intact, and her unmatched knowledge of rare illnesses and unusual injuries suffered no harm. Despite the change in her attitude, Jode is still one of the best healers anyone could ask for.
She is approached only by the brave or desperate, those who have exhausted every other option in finding relief for their ailments. Her healing is accompanied by cutting remarks, scathing commentary, and sarcastic observations about her patients, their families, and the cause of their problems.
Her colleagues are not immune to her sharp tongue. More than one junior healer or nurse has been sent off in tears by her acerbic attitude.

AJ Menolly's Auntie One

Menolly's Auntie One insists that she is not a male Misfit, but actually a female "fire lizard", with the ability to breathe fire and teleport from place to place.
When she first hatched she formed a close bond with a young singer and story teller named Menolly, whose shoulder she would often perch upon as she performed.
Menolly is long gone now, but Auntie One still flits about the world, spreading the stories that Menolly made up about another world where dragons and fire lizards lived in harmony with humans, a world where technology existed in place of magic, and where danger fell from the skies in shining silver strings.
She did once settle down again, for a while, with a writer named Anne, who wrote down many of Menolly's tales so that they could spread further across Valkemare than Auntie's small wings could ever take her.

AJ Jordis Day Glory

Jordis Day Glory is one of the few drakes rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the forest and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Glaucus drake, among the other AnselaJonla drakes. In the tradition of the flock, both drakes were given the same name, Jordis, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Jordis will chase anything that moves. Leaves, shadows, beams of light shining through the canopy, cats. His most frequent prey is his own tail. He cannot seem to comprehend that it is actually attached to him, and he will turn in circles for hours trying to pin down the elusive quarry.
Unsurprisingly, more intelligent beings find this display rather amusing to behold.

AJ Iona Howler

Iona was raised by a farmer, who found her egg in a rock crevice inside the remains of a fire-devastated wood on the edge of his lands. He brought the fragile egg home and warmed it by the fireside until it hatched.
The little drake hatchling was adopted by old McDonald's sheepdog, a young collie named Kep. The pair were often seen in the fields together, Kep teaching Iona how to herd the sheep that were the farmer's main source of income.
There was some controversy the first time old McDonald entered Iona into a sheepdog trial, mainly centred around the fact that, however much she acts like one, Iona isn't actually a sheepdog.
Kep passed away not long after Iona's wings started to grow, and old McDonald barely lived to see the drake mature and lay her first egg, but Iona remained at the McDonald farm where she grew up. She still herds sheep for the latest generation of McDonald farmers, and still wins the trials whenever she is allowed to enter, every five years at minimum.

AJ Balerion Howler

Balerion Howler is one of the few drakes rescued and nurtured by the wide ranging clan of humans founded by AnselaJonla. His egg was found in the jungle and taken to a hatchery to be raised.
Once he matured, he found his lifemate, a Night Glory drake, among the other AnselaJonla drakes. In the tradition of the AnselaJonla flock, both drakes were given the same name, Balerion, to pass down to any of their offspring that remained within the flock.
Balerion thinks it's funny the way that humans shriek and run away when they hear his calls echoing around them. He's only playing with them, and wouldn't really hurt them, unless they meant to hurt a member of the flock.

AJApricot and Ginger Wensleydale

Apricot and Ginger Wensleydale started life as a block of cheese. It was a gift to the clan from a new trading partner, the town of Wensleydale. This block was destined to be served at a large feast attended by both dragons and humans.
Fortunately for Apricot, and unfortunately for the turophiles who were looking forward to tasting this new cheese, a magical accident occurred before the cheese could be served. A cloud of flour, a sneezing Magi and an uncontrolled bolt of magic created a new life completely by accident.
Apricot now spends its time dodging dragons who are curious about what a piece of sentient cheese tastes like.

AJ Original Sage Derby

Original Sage Derby was the second Cheese dragon created by the flock's Spellweavers, a group of research-inclined Magi. He was not, however, the one they intended to create.
.
The arcane dragons were trying to recreate the accident that created Wensleydale, but in a more controlled manner. They were aiming for blocks of that same cheese, which they had purchased from a nearby cheesemonger's inventory. Time and time again they cast their magic over the cheese, slightly modifying it each time, without much success.
.
Unnoticed by the group, the tremors of their casting had dislodged an egg from the larder's shelves, which had smashed on contact with the stone floor. When Sergio stepped back, balancing on his hind legs only, to get the "right" angle for his spell, his right paw slipped in the slimy mess. As he flailed about, trying not to fall, a panicked bolt of magic flew out. Once the dust settled, the marbled green-and-yellow hatchling was sat where a block of cheese had once been.

AJ Scape Paper

Scape is yet another dragon-like creature whose existence came about due to the antics of the Spellweavers.
To be more specific, he is the result of Mphatso Spellweaver's attempts to create a "speaking scroll", a story that would read itself to dragon or human. The enterprising Magi isn't quite sure what went wrong with his spell to create Scape, but he's rather glad that nothing got blown up... this time.
It was partially a success, however. Scape remembers everything that was written on the scroll he was formed on, down to the last diacritic, and he can recite it word-perfect. He's often found perched on one dragon or another's shoulder, "reading" them the story. He even does voices, a different one for every character.

AJ Rune Paper

Rune Paper started off life as a piece of parchment, tucked away in the pages of one of Meghan's books for use as a bookmark. That all changed on the day when said book, a tome on paper enchanting, was caught in the path of a piece of stray magic after its borrower was startled by a prank involving a bucket of ice water over the mouth of her cave.
Somehow the unfocused magic melded with the magical properties of the book - for the written word has a magic all of its own - to turn the little piece of parchment into a papery dragon egg, which in time hatched into a tiny and adorable facsimile of a lindwurm.

AJ Warrior of the Clyde

Clyde has been named "Black Death" by his enemies, as all they see of him are the black scales he leaves behind.
.
He hunts them in the twilight, as the crimson horizon paints the thousand lakes red. This hunter has switched his prey to the army approaching from the east. He tracks them down the wilds, there's no hiding once he's on their trail. As day goes into the night there's a flash in the darkness. Hundreds fall by his spells.
.
They're in his sights, the first kills tonight. They're in the spell's way, the Black Death's prey. As the dawn breaks in the morning, the snow, once white, has turned to red. The tale of a sniper is born among the corpses of a hundred soldiers.
.
He waits in the dark, holding snow in his mouth to hide his breath. His mind is steady, and his target is in sight. The moment to cast has come. Hundreds of kills, from a Black and his magic.
.
"Stay out of sight, and cover your head" the necromancers whisper. "When he casts his spell, you're dead."

AJ Miss Azura Bean

Azura is trapped in one of her own daydreams, and has been since she hatched. She thinks she is a Dark Green dragon, even taking the surname used by several of the flock's Vines as her own. She likes burrowing into the ground and using her magic to cloak herself in an illusion that makes her look like a Dark Green hatchling. She even lashes out with these illusory tendrils at anything that passes by.
Fortunately, her immature magic isn't strong enough to make the illusion solid, and she can only hold it for a few hours at a time before she is too exhausted to continue. With her delusion showing no sign of fading, the decision was made to keep it this way. Azura was frozen into her hatchling state, to make sure that her magic would never grow strong enough to make her deluded illusion dangerously real.

AJ Infant Dos Jangala

One summer there was a massive wildfire that swept through an area of jungle used by wild Neotropicals to raise their young. The adults all fled, leaving hundreds of eggs in their wake. While the dragons of the AnselaJonla flock managed to put out the fire, they were left with more eggs than they knew what to do with.
Gradually the Neotropical mothers returned, having only fled far enough to escape the flames. Most reclaimed their eggs, but not all the mothers had escaped unscathed, and some had lost their lives in the inferno.
Dos is one of those orphaned Neotropicals. Their eggs hatched as soon as they arrived in the flock's hatchery, and the caretakers were left with far too many hatchlings to care for. Their plight was noticed by a passing Chrono, who "helpfully" froze the newborns in their infant state, removing them from the care of the hatchery caretakers (and making them the problem of the frozen wardens instead; they did not thank 4uuMZ for this).

AJ Vedet Natsu

Despite being a summer dragon, Vedet is not exactly fond of hot, sunny days. When the temperatures climb, she hides at the back of a cave where it's nice and cool.
Her place of birth is partly to blame for this. Vedet's egg was taken by traders to a rainy island off the northern coast of Galsreim, where the temperature was mild all year round. It was bought by a clan trader who lived there, and Vedet spent nearly two centuries living in the ever-expanding trade compound in Kidneypull. She therefore associates summers with mild temperatures, frequent cloud cover, and cool, refreshing rain.
Moving south to the main clan territory to find a mate was, therefore, a shock to Vedet, and even centuries later she hasn't quite adjusted to the differences in the two climates.
If someone does manage to coax her outside on a sunny day, she'll usually head straight for the nearest lake, where she'll wade into the shallows, spread her wings, and just lie down and relax in the water.

AJ Avatar of Rosebuds

It is hard to tell how Rosebuds will respond to any given situation. His morals, attitude, beliefs, and behaviour will flip from one occasion to the next, with no apparent rhyme or reason to it.
One day he may be a pacifist, advocating life and health for all. A few hours later he's a raging force of nature, as fearsome as his Destruction cousins, laying waste to all in his path with devastating magic and overwhelming strength. Then, in the blink of an eye, he's apathetic, barely willing to move from wherever he lands.
"I am of Change," he explains when challenged on his mood swings, "not of dormancy and stagnation. What I do, no matter how random it seems, is always what's necessary to cause the world around me to change in some way."
Needless to say, Rosebuds' behaviour does tend to frustrate others, especially the other Avatars of Change whose actions are rather more subtle. They would prefer he left the mayhem to the Destructions, and stopped giving Changes a bad name.

AJ Ilfeen Seawyrm

Like most dragons, Ilfeen has a hoard of things she's collected over the centuries. Her passion isn't for jewels or precious metals. Ilfeen collects egg shells.
Her cliff-cave, its pygmy-sized entrance hiding a cave large enough to hold several Stone dragons, is filled with pieces of egg from every type of dragon. From the iridescent pearl of her own egg, to the glassy look of the first Xenowyrm to hatch in the flock, Ilfeen has a piece of it all.
Her passion for egg shells is well known in the flock, and dragons frequently deposit pieces of shell in the small bowl-shaped outcrop outside of the cave, for Ilfeen to find and take into the hoard.
Pride of place is held by three plinths, holding most of the pieces of the rarest eggs of all;  three Guardian of Nature eggs. The tri-element ritual magic had faded from the grasp of its wielders after the third egg appeared, and there would never be another. The almost intact eggs, held together by sticky sap, were all that remained.

AJ myDeg Ancient

It is perhaps not surprising that myDeg is a bit hot-headed. She is a Pyro Xenowyrm, after all. She is often found having extremely heated arguments with any dragon who sticks around long enough for her to start one.
Despite her fearsome strength and powerful magic, myDeg does not resort to using them to win arguments. To do something like that is cheating, in her opinion, and it would be no fun if she scared off the smaller and weaker breeds from debating with her; some of the best arguments have come from dragons that she could crush with a single blow of her paw.
myDeg is quick to argue, but quicker to defend her lair, her lands, and her friends, and not necessarily in that order. Anything that foolishly wanders into her territory with malicious intent is quickly bathed in incinerating flames, and their remains squished for good measure.

AJ Yule-story Paper

Yule-story is one of the enchanted dragon golems that can be found among the flock. Unlike most of them, however, they were not created by the antics of the Spellweavers. Yule-story was imbued with life by Avatar of Flamingos, an Avatar of Creation.
Intended to be a companion to the Avatar, Yule-story contains pages and parchment from dozens of books and scrolls of Yule-themed stories, Flamingos' favourite time of year. Despite only containing a part of each story, the little Paper dragon knows the entirety of each tale. How precisely that works, no one knows, but the Mageia and Magi reckon that it's something to do with "narrative interconnectivity", whatever that means.
Yule-story is often found near their creator, but is equally likely to be found in the nursery, spreading the joy of Yule to all who'll listen to his tales.

AJ Survivor of Eyam

Survivor of Eyam was raised in a small mining and farming village nestled in a hilly region of Galsreim.
One day disaster struck, in the form of a flea-infested shipment to the village tailor. These fleas carried a terrible disease, one that had killed many hundreds of people in other towns.
The village elders acted fast. They ordered families to take care of their own sick and dead. Boundary stones were placed around the village, a white cross - the sign of plague - painted on their outward sides. None dared cross this ring of stone, in either direction.
Eyam struggled with the disease for fourteen long months, and Survivor did all she could to help heal the humans she loved and cared for. It was all in vain. She'd only learned how to heal the injuries of mine and farm, not this horrible sickness.
When the village of Eyam lay empty, Survivor left. She vowed to learn how to prevent and treat such illnesses, so no more happy, lively villages would become deserted ghost towns.

AJ Wilfred Tyrell

Wilfred is slightly stronger and faster than most Fever wyverns. He has to be, in order to catch his prey.
As a hatchling, Wilfred was rescued from an unscrupulous merchant, who'd bought the young hatchling as a guard-dragon for one of his warehouses. The seller, the merchant always insisted, was the one who removed the end of Wilfred's tail, and the bacteria-laden spines that all Fevers use to hunt.
Unable to rely on his breed's natural abilities, Wilfred has learned to hunt like other dragons, using strength, speed and, after some time spent with the Magi, a small bit of magic. Even without his lethal tail spines, this Fever wyvern is dangerous to those who anger him.

AJ Larry Slogre

Larry has one rock that is all his own. If he sees any other dragon on it, he'll attack them. It's perfectly position to catch the sun all day long, from the moment it rises until the second it slips below the horizon.
Even better is the small orchard growing on the slopes of the hill this rock is perched on. Apples, pears, peaches, oranges, and many other fruits grow in abundance all around him. His theft from these trees is tolerated, as he only eats in moderation, and he guards the bounty from others that wouldn't show the same restraint.

AJ Stuart Eluned

Stuart's territory contains a giant cliff, with a magnificent waterfall roaring down it. He can often be found weaving in and out of the spray, his wings glistening with a rainbow of water droplets.
Sometimes he gets it wrong, and dips a wing too far into the water. Then he's sent crashing down into the pool below, to drag himself out of the water to the laughter of his fickle audience. He takes this in good humour though, laughing along with them, and bowing as he shakes the water off his wings directly at them.

Awaiting moderation

broadsword swing

Broadsword is a swift and deadly hunter, who takes whatever catches her fancy, without regard for if it belongs to someone or not.
Needless to say, she is not very popular with the local shepherds and dairy farmers. Not at all.
Not that they express their dislike in her presence. She's well-known to be a literal man-eater, albeit only of outlaws. They've all seen her take on bandit packs, swooping low into the middle of the bands, and soaring back into the sky with claws full of screaming marauders. If they're lucky, and she's in a merciful mood, she decapitates them with a single bite before disembowelling them.
Only one being is permitted to get between Broadsword and her food, her mate Axes flash. He earned that right at their first meeting, when he defeated Broadsword in combat. Torn and bloody, he'd pinned her to the ground, teeth at her throat, mana swirling around over black scales, and he'd demanded submission that she'd willingly given to the strongest male she'd ever met.

AJ Weapon Coppare

Weapon is in love with the beautiful Une Denied, a purebred Cassare dragon. Unfortunately for him his mother was a Copper Dragon, and Une will only take another purebred Cassare as her lifemate. So Weapon lied to the clan, took the surname of Denied, and pretended his mother was a Cassare in the hopes that Une would fall so madly in love with him that she would overlook the truth of his parentage.
It was not to be so. When their first egg was laid, and its lineage magically traced itself onto the flock's record scroll, Une was furious. She attacked Weapon with words and claws, driving him from their shared lair with her ferocity. Weapon fled, shamed and bleeding, with Une in pursuit, shrieking her anger for the whole flock to hear.
He has since changed his name to reflect his real ancestry, but Weapon still loves his fiery pureblood. He accepts it is a love best savoured from a distance. After all, next time she sees him, she might succeed in taking his other eye out.

AJ Angel Avatar

Angel Avatar has a gift for changing the course of love with gifts of her scales, as well as a knack for identifying those who need her help. A single scale of hers, if freely given, can give man, woman, or dragon the courage needed to take their love to the next level... or just to talk to their crush for the first time, in many cases. Her cave is swamped by presents from people grateful to her for this intervention.
Beware the curse of the scale stolen or taken by force however: more than one thief has been cruelly rejected or publicly humiliated after such treachery.

AJent Grant Ward

AJent Grant Ward was found wandering in the wilderness as a hatchling, injured and traumatised, unable to say where he'd come from or where his parents were. He was taken in and raised in the nursery. Eventually he became a member of S.H.I.E.L.D, a shadowy organisation within the clan, that performs espionage against the clan's enemies, and suppresses knowledge of dangerous and forbidden magicks.
Unknown to most of his comrades, Ward is a double agent, spying on S.H.I.E.L.D for their foes in the Necromancer's army. As an agent of HYDRA he communicates with other HYDRA agents - both in the clan and outside it - using a special telepathic language that only other HYDRA agents can understand. The information he's passed to his true allies has allowed the Necromancer to win several victories against the clan's forces, resulting in the mad mage gaining key ground in the ongoing struggle.
